2023 FIFA World Cup: Oshoala Approves the Super Falcons’ Team

At the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala insisted that the previous African champions wouldn’t have any trouble playing the other teams in their group.
In Group B, Randy Waldrum’s team will compete against the co-hosts Canada, Australia, and the Republic of Ireland.
On July 21, the Super Falcons’ first match in the competition will take place in Melbourne against Canada, followed by matches against Australia and the Republic of Ireland in Brisbane.
“I think our group is excellent. The World Cup is not supposed to be simple or a stroll in the park, according to Barcelona striker Oshoala, who spoke to BBC Sport Africa.
“With the group we have, I feel we have a chance.”
“We get to play Canada, a team we know very well, and of course Australia.
“It won’t be easy against the Republic of Ireland, but we had Australia in our 2015 group. We lost to them 2-0. It’s a good opportunity for us to come back and also prove that we’ve improved from the team they played seven years ago.
“We have a very good group and are really excited for the tournament.”
