Nas collaborated with 21 Savage on a new song following the Atlanta rapper’s assertion that the Queens rapper is irrelevant.

Nas and 21 Savage appear to have buried the hatchet in their recent feud. As previously reported, 21 faced backlash earlier this month following comments he made about Nas. Nas, according to the Her Loss rapper, is no longer relevant. “I don’t think he’s relevant,” 21 admitted on Clubhouse. “I just feel like he has a devoted following.” He still produces quality music.”

Nas retaliated subtly by promoting his critically acclaimed album Kings Disease III. Nas took to Instagram on Tuesday (November 29) to promote his new single “One Mic, One Gun” with 21 Savage. He shared the cover art for the single along with a lengthy caption. “TONIGHT Nas x @21savage,” Nas wrote. “The only way we can move forward is with love, respect, and unity.” Hip hop’s fundamental principles. I’m excited to work with my younger brother, and I hope that more artists use difficult times to create new work. That’s all there is to it.”

21 Savage also shared the cover art for the new single on Instagram. “One Mic, One Gun” references Nas’ 2001 Stillmatic single “One Mic,” as well as 21’s verse from 2018’s “asmr,” in which he rapped, “I just need one Glock, Nas needs one mic.”

On the Hit-Boy-produced track, Nas and 21 Savage traded fiery bars about the generation gap in hip hop culture. Check out “One Mic, One Gun,” which is now available on YouTube.
