On Thursday, Reason says he will be taking a break from Twitter, but followers can still connect with him on Tik Tok.
The musician Sizwe Alakine, also known as himself, claimed he stopped using the bird app because of its toxicity.
“Hello, Alakines.” I’m taking a break from Twitter. I’m getting a bad vibe from it. Look me up on Tik Tok. Come with me there. Show me a few movements. Publish my songs. Give me another challenge. Anything. however toxicity I’m grateful,” he wrote.
Not just South African celebrities or public figures have bemoaned the negativity on Twitter, including Reason.
There, people are bullied and taunted, which causes depression in some of them.
People including Nadia Nakai, AKA, Pearl Thusi, and Moozlie have bemoaned the app and taken breaks at various points.
