Ronaldo will not be part of Ten Hag's squad for Chelsea game - Man Utd confirms

Cristiano Ronaldo won’t be traveling with Manchester United to Chelsea this Sunday, the team has announced.

In a statement issued by the club on Thursday, this was confirmed.

“Cristiano Ronaldo won’t be playing for Manchester United against Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday.

The statement added, “The remainder of the squad is entirely focused on getting ready for that match.”

A day after Ronaldo left Old Trafford early during their 2-0 victory against Tottenham Hotspur, United boss Erik ten Hag enforced the punishment.

The hierarchy of the club has endorsed the choice.

Given Ronaldo’s 37-year-old dissatisfaction with being at the club, it is thought that Ten Hag would consent to his departure in the January transfer window.
